A few recent jobs from around the northside, and what we did on each.
The problem: The owners were selling and the building inspector flagged their ceramic fuse board.
What we did: We fitted a new switchboard with circuit breakers and safety switches on every circuit, labelled everything and supplied the compliance certificate. Power was off for under five hours.
The problem: A kitchen renovation with three pendants planned and no wiring in the right spot.
What we did: We ran new cabling before the plasterers arrived, then hung and dimmed the pendants once the island was in. No patching needed.
The problem: Warm power points and crumbling rubber wiring in the roof of a family home.
What we did: We rewired the power and lighting circuits in the bedrooms and living area over two days, working room by room so the family could stay home.
The problem: Switching from gas to induction, but the old circuit couldn't handle the load.
What we did: We added a dedicated circuit from the switchboard, connected the cooktop and wall oven, and tested and certified both the same day.
The problem: The safety switch tripped every time it rained, and two other electricians couldn't find why.
What we did: We tested each circuit and traced it to water getting into an outdoor power point. Replaced it with a weatherproof one and it hasn't tripped since.
The problem: Hot, dim halogen downlights throughout and a power bill to match.
What we did: We replaced every downlight with warm-white dimmable LEDs in a single day. Brighter rooms, cooler ceilings and a smaller power bill.

We use NJM for test and tag across our three cafés. Always on time, never disrupts service, and the paperwork is spot on.
Great work on 14 new downlights. Took a day longer than planned because of old wiring in the ceiling, but he called ahead and kept the price the same.
